Okay! I know that summer is in full swing and it’s hot out there, but if you are at all like me, you are dreaming about the coming cooler months and what exciting events they hold! Most importantly, what will YOU be wearing to them? Let Tadashi Shoji's Fall Collection come to the rescue.
Tadashi introduces us to mysterious and provocative Moroccan evenings this fall. He infused his love of architecture, travel, and art into a Collection that features unparalleled tailoring and draping techniques. Key color hues of the season include Elm, Mystic Blue, and Flame. Couture-like treatments ensure there is something innovative for everyone and implores you to marvel at its vast global appeal. Narrowing it down to just a few selections was indeed challenging but I am here in hopes of helping you navigate.
I chose this opening look from the Runway show because it sets the tone for the entire Collection. The laser cut microsuede mini evokes Moroccan tile in its detail. This sheath style will also be available in a column gown. (ALB1778S, ALB1778M-Flame/Nude and ALB1778LB)
Remember those fashion rules I mentioned in my first post and that they are sometimes meant to be challenged? This corded tulle look does just that! So go ahead and wear this NOW and into seasons to come! The cap sleeves give a nod to coverage while the two available lengths create options. (ALX1812S, ALX1812M- Ivory/Petal)
Tadashi’s corded tulle is a cool technique that offers a new take on feminine dressing. This gown represents a timeless modern way to wear a sleeved dress. Not only has Tadashi heard your sleeve concerns, but he features his Runway worthy design on an international stage for all to enjoy and purchase. (ALX1809LX- Flame on Runway, Mystic Blue and Ivory/Petal also offered)
Because volume adds drama, you will be certain to stand out in this hand beaded corded tulle and chiffon gown. It “walks” so beautifully and is the reason why it is my fourth selection. (OC1862L, shown on Runway in Black and also available in Elm)
This mystic blue neoprene sheath dress with paillette detail represents a sleek re-imagined “LBD” that is certain to be a day to night hit! Neoprene, an unexpected evening dress fabric, is fast becoming a signature one for the brand. (AGD1831M)
This gown boldly moves forward with gold paillette detail on the bodice and along the jaw dropping draped back. Others are certain to applaud when they see you in this dress! (ALG1771L)
I am very excited about this brand new fabric Tadashi Shoji is just introducing to the line. The stretch quilted jacquard dress features a sheer lace sleeve and side panel which serves as a wink to understated sexiness. (AMB1815M)
Slip into a column of color and turn others’ frowns upside down! My final selection is anything but predictable. Color blocking is made luxe in this crepe gown with metallic paillette embellishment. (ALG1793LX)
Every woman uses accessories to complete a look. Reach new heights in a black suede bootie or very strappy shoe while at the same time gaining an unexpected edge. This is how Tadashi realized his Runway vision. I will pay homage to this while on the road. I also intend to incorporate metallic silver and gold strappy heels into these elevated looks, as shine is also an important trend this season. I love sheer black hosiery lending a polished elegant feel. I’m eager to pick up on the intricate detail cues of looks 1, 6 and 8 by incorporating clean and architectural wrist wear selections, or statement collar and bib necklaces. As for earrings, you might consider an artisanal chandelier earring in one ear for a daring and audacious look. It could be paired with looks 4, 5 and 8 because of their clean lines and understated tailoring. Accessories now come in bountiful textures that further enhance the exotic and global appeal of the Tadashi Shoji brand. Make your exit as memorable as your entrance. Explore Fall 2014 NOW!
