As summer turns into autumn and leaves slowly begin to fall, it’s just the right time to elevate your evening wardrobe. Inspired by the elegance of aircraft mechanics and captivated by the joy of flight, Tadashi welcomes the new season with a dreamy collection of decadent dresses rife with fall’s most coveted trends. From whimsical feathered accents to brilliant metallic embroideries, here we highlight the most enchanting trends of the season.
Fall 2015 is imbued with elaborate feather-inspired embellishments. Take our ivory Swan gown, for example, which turns heads with its glorious bell skirt rendered in hand-cut tulle and topped with organza feathers. Wherever you wear it, it’s bound to make any evening that much more magical. For a cocktail affair, there’s the emerald green Sparrow mini dress with a fancy hand-cut tulle skirt, perfect for twirling around on the dance floor. Sweep your hair back with this one and show off that décolletage. Or, go with our Bessica gown for a pop of purple that will surely be the life of the party.
Capes continued to reign supreme on the fall runways, but Tadashi puts his own decidedly regal spin on the trend. If you’re looking to make a statement this fall, look to the floor-length Rhea cape. Its elaborate embroidery influenced by wings and its perennially classic black-and-white combination makes for a powerful and sophisticated look. The Inca cape, on the other hand, boasts a shorter length ideal for more relaxed evening affairs. Finish the look with sky-high heels and a polished up do. For the minimalist at heart, there’s our all-black Robin gown, which goes from runway to gala with effortless ease.
GOLD METALLIC EMBROIDERY
For fall, Tadashi fully celebrated the metallic trend ornamenting gowns throughout his collection with lavish gold metallic embroidery. A match made in sartorial heaven, the Raven dress so beautifully pairs wing metallic embroidery with eye-catching emerald green neoprene, while our party-ready Monarch dress does the same with deep vivid blue. For a grander affair, make an entrance with the Kinglet gown, which exudes elegance with sleek long-sleeves composed entirely of gold embroidery.
Tadashi didn’t shy away from colors this season. In fact, he embraces them. Rich hues like emerald green, purple grape, and navy blue all made their mark this season. The Goldeneye gown is rendered in a radiant green hue, adorned with intricate feather embroidery, and finished with a romantic tulle skirt. It demands to be worn to a fall wedding, a black-tie gala, or another grand celebration, as does our Anhinga gown bathed in a vibrant purple hue. Play up either ethereal look with a disheveled up-do. Fit for a late-night fall affair, the navy Vireo gown promises to turn heads everywhere you go. While the front is conservative, the back drapes open to reveal beautiful winged embellishments that truly capture Tadashi’s fascination with flight.
